Default Flat Earth Society

I try to laugh, but then I realise, these people are for real.

http://theflatearthsociety.org/forum...?topic=11211.0

This is the stupidest thing I've seen since that women that saw a sprinkler create a mini-rainbow because of chemicals in the water...

They claim it is real but they have this in their FAQ:

"
Q: "What's underneath the Earth?" aka "What's on the bottom?" aka "What's on the other side?"

A: This is unknown. Some believe it to be just rocks, while others believe the Earth rests on the back of four elephants and a turtle.
"

ARE

YOU

SERIOUS

edit:
Q: "NASA and other world space agencies have pictures of the Earth from space, and in those pictures the Earth is clearly a globe; in this day and age, hasn't it been proven beyond any doubt that the Earth is round?"

A: NASA and the rest of the world's space agencies who claim to have been to space are involved in a Conspiracy to keep the shape of the Earth hidden. The pictures are faked using simple imaging software.

hahahahahaha. They want so badly to believe..

Ummm circumference is only for a CIRCLE/SPHERE! Congrats, they have just disproved their own theory. GG.

Flat circle has a diamter

From middle to the age and circumference is the distance from 1 point of circle (flat part) to the same point going 360 degrees/.... so you are incorrect

Well, one funny thing Flat Earth theory can't explain - earthquakes and tectonic movements over the last millions of years.

Oh, and timezones.

And how people living on the equalizer can see the sun under a 90' degrees. Wouldn't that mean that sun would have to ALWAYS be at 90' degrees for this to happen? And it would also mean that at some point, everywhere in the world it's day. While it most certainly isn't.

Oh, oh, and seasons changing...

Circumference is generally used to describe a sphere by yes going 360 degrees around the circle. The circumference is pretty much only used with spheres. I can not remember ever finding the circumference of anything that is flat unless it was a practice problem to introduce the idea.

ok wait circumfirance is the length of earth at its equator correct? Im not good at geametrical problems at all but if i am correct then the flat earth circumference would be the length of its sides? which is like a equator of our earth.. correct?

Yes the Equator is the Earths circumference. From Ask.com
Quote:
The circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 kilometers)
So they are saying the diameter if the Earth was flat is 24,901.55 yet the Circumference is 78,225 because they apparently believe the Earth is even bigger. More or less there would be a complicated way to figure this out by flying a plane around the world or some stuff like that. Either way they fail because if they stretched out the Earth to make it flat it would no longer be spherical. (Take an orange peel and try to make it flat, won't do it unless you cut the tops and bottoms) Also if what they said was true then we are missing a huge portion of either ocean or land that is unaccounted for.

Q: "Are you saying NASA had Photoshop in the 1960s?"

A: Of course not. Back then the pictures taken were of far lower quality and were likely produced using analog means.
Q: "How did NASA create these images with the computer technology available at the time?"

A: NASA did not send rockets into space; instead, they spent a fraction of their funding on developing increasingly advanced computers and imaging software to cover their lies.
Lol.....seriously XD

Almost.

Wow... Just wow.

We have the technology to know what the Earth looks like as evidence and the guys back in the day (1300's etc.) found out the Earth was spherical just by using simple, every day math.

Quote:
Q: "If the world was really flat, what would happen if you jump off the disc's edge?"

A: You would become directly affected by Dark Energy as the Earth is, creating the illusion that you are standing next to the Earth.
lololol

Dark Energy doesn't create a god damn illusion. Dark Energy is what this universe is made of - the most destruction force in this universe. It's not going to let you live and create an illusion. It'll probably suck you dry so fast (as in like, a black hole), you couldn't even have a thought process.

I'm surprised the world has so many deep jungle tribe members that can communicate their sciences so well in the English language via their computers, internet connections, and a web forum. What a bunch of morons. Really.
